@Nox Yea sure, I’ll try. But for some reason nothing pops up whenever I hit the “choose files” button whenever I try to share a photo.
Okay, using the forum in chrome, and it’s working much better. Anywho, here’s a win, even though my jerk teammate did most of the work with cheaty, and in my opinion, dishonorable cav harrasement. I won’t deny it, though, it’s affective, and there are ways to combat the cav. NOTE: I had played with this guy on two occasions, both in which he used the exact same tactics. Where’s the fun in that?
I’ve used that initial cavalry charge a lot. It is super effective and there is a need to practice any strategy to get better. Recently, I have gotten bored of it, and even feel bad about using against players that can’t cope with it. Now I am practicing new strategies, but still intend on using cavalry rushes against more experienced players. These players are able to defend effectively without clumping their armies.
Tldr; it is only dishonorable if the enemy has no way to defend against a cavalry rush. But even then they should be exposed to that type of game play.
I guess I may just be looking at the cav charges in a harsh light because I’m a newbie, but that doesn’t change the fact that I see it as important. And your right, practicing new, or old strategies is obviously essential.
I personally have had bad experiences with players harassing my ranged units, and no matter how I try to defend, I can never seem to find a good counter.
I’m going to be experimenting in the sandbox tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll find something that works.
NOTE, I’ve also had bad experiences with cav charges because for some reason, they lag about, and it make it hard to predict movement. Dunno if it’s just me, but that tends to happen alot.
Yeah man def try and work on that cav attack a lot of more experience players use that right off the bat …what I did in the beginning to counter that was I always kept a melee troop with any archers or gunmen which is typically what they go for in a cav blitz
Also be careful not to get into exchanges with your archers vs opponents archers if they are using the cav to screen your archers arrows
Trees also help deflect archer and gunmen damage so keep that in mind
I’m sure you know that if you double tap the arrow head after moving a troop it makes them sprint you could also double tap your troop then move that’s also another way to sprint
I figured the forest thing out awhile ago, along with the fact that (I think) infantry are more effective than cavalry are in it. I also noticed the sprint, and it really comes in handy when retreating units/ moving infantry to defend archers.
cool profile pic btw looks badass
XD, thanks, just searched up “Samurai” on Google, and took a screenshot instead of downloading for safety reasons.
It should show up now when you battle vs other players now looks cool man
I’m up for a battle now of you Red Eyes are not to stoned.
I’m always stoned and at times a raging drunk yeah man let’s boogie
Psh… You don’t know me!
All it took was one unit of spearmen, my general, and a unit of archers on that left hill to break half the enemies army. In hindsight I probably should’ve just sent a unit of spearmen cav instead of my general.
I watched part of that. It was pretty legit.
Nice man ! Yeah I was watching the start of it and the very last of it Good game !!
Wow, thanks! I saw the very ending of the first match you two played against each other. Although the only thing I saw was one of @Noremac 's units breaking, heh.
I need some help polishing a few Macedonian spear tactics, I want to try it on an actual player instead of someone really random who may not be a good tactician and may lead to over comfort with the tactic, its a basic but customized tactic, shouldn’t take long and It may prove fun…
It kicked me from battle like a third the way through and all I could see on the map was green and fuzzy circles. MP even with 4G on android can’t work with me
